Who are you?
My name is Samantha. I'm a student librarian at my university and I just love books. I always have. I'm working towards a bachelor's degree in creative writing and I'm minoring in Asian and Asian American Studies. I also plan to get a degree in library sciences.

What's the deal with this blog?
Like I said, I like books. I like reading them, I like talking about them, I like writing them. This blog is a place for me to share that love. I'm planning on posting mainly book reviews and information on what I'm currently reading, and I may branch out into movies, comparing movie adaptations to their books, talk about activities and crafts related to books/movies, etc. We'll see what it develops into as I go along.

Do you do giveaways?
Probably not often, but I'm not ruling it out. Stay tuned.

How many books do you have?
430 and counting.

What does a student librarian do?
We do what I like to call grunt work. There's the typical checking in and out of books to patrons. We also shelve books, cover books, shelf read (go through the stacks to make sure all the books are in order), check the computers to make sure people have logged out, clean, mark books for discard, and run errands for the full-time staff. It can be a lot of work but I love it.
